Burton Premier: One World
What better way to cure preseason boredom than watching a film full of some of the world’s best riders show off their talent? Although one year late due to COVID-19 and no snow yet on the ground, UVM students gathered in excitement on Thursday night to watch the premiere of Burton’s film, “One World” on the big screen. From the streets to the backcountry, the film featured male and female riders from around the world hit rails and powder through the lens of incredible cinematographers.
Being able to share the love of snowboarding with a community of like-minded people is an unbeatable feeling. Even skier, Brady Kenosh (UVM '25), said after the film, “Dude that got me so hyped, I could not be more stoked for snow.” Thanks to Burton for providing their sweet hats and layers, UVMSSC was able to give away some “One World” merchandise to lucky audience members who attended. The film ended with a special tribute to Jake Burton Carpenter, an inspiration to all. The audience left in high spirits, full of adrenaline for the season ahead. That’s it for premieres this year, stay tuned for more events through UVMSSC coming soon!
